the lost castle - Now Open

Deep within the Lowther woodland something spellbinding awaits..... an enchanted world of twists and turrets gives visitors little and large a place of adventure and play like no other. 17,700 metres of timber has been assembled to create the lost castle. That’s enough timber to run the length of Ullswater one and a half times or 18x the height of Scafell Pike, and all sourced from sustainably managed woodland.

The lost castle is one of the biggest and most captivating adventure playgrounds in the country, suitable for all children from age 3 upwards. the lost castle has been designed to encourage families to play together and is accessible for wheelchair users.
